Network-Based
Technology
Analog
cameras and videotape systems used in older CCTV
systems are rapidly becoming obsolete. Digital
Video Recorders (DVRs) are expected to meet the
same fate. With network-based surveillance, the
intelligence is brought to the camera-level. This
means that the cameras are up-gradeable through
firmware updates and are stand-alone. No
multiplexer. No Quad. No expensive and out-dated
coaxial cabling to run.
Flexible
With the byRemote Hosted Video as a Service,
there is no need for a local video storage device.
Just the network camera(s) connected to the
Internet.
Functional
Network video surveillance is suitable for a wide
range of applications. Residential, commercial,
retail, hospitality, service and more.
Affordable
Start out small and add additional network
cameras as needed.
Ease of
Installation
Network cameras are mini computers. Installing
a network surveillance system is similar to
setting up a home network. Wireless connectivity
and Power over Ethernet (PoE) are supported.
Secure
A username and password authentication is
required to access the surveillance video or the
network camera.
Reliable
We have network cameras that were installed in
2002 that are still functioning properly. Even
outdoors.
